The AZIRE Library in Second Life








The Innovation Info Island sim is a locale populated by a
host of interesting tenants among them a state public of  
information network, museum focused on the history of
music, a literature library information network, a story-
telling guild, a museum focused on the history of music, a
literature library, an amphitheater for education events, a
university artificial intelligence project and a language
center. The central urban core where The AZIRE Library
is housed is a replica of a section of the French Quarter in
New Orleans, just across the street from the Cafe Du
Monde.

    Plans include:

  • Articles are available English and Spanish. In the
    planning stage: materials in French, German, Italian,
    and Portuguese

  • A half dozen classic books on spiritualism, psychical
    research and psychology in English are already
    available in full text on the shelves. In the planning
    stage: more in English and in five other languages.

  • A continuously running slide show about online
    libraries and other resources for students in the field

  • And of course comfy chairs, free AZIRE tee shirts, and
    the Cafe Du Monde across the street for a quick Cafe
    au Lait and Beignet
